Charles E. McLain

Charles E. McLain, 80, beloved husband of 39 years to Margaret M. (O’Toole) McLain of Ansonia, died on July 28, 2017. He was born on November 2, 1936 in Townsend, MA and was the son of the late Joseph and Mary (Costain) McLain. Charles worked at Carpenter Steel in Bridgeport for many years before his retirement. In addition to his wife, Charles leaves six children, Patricia Rolfe of Derby, William Swendsen (Kelly Egan) of Oxford, Terry Sobreg, Denise McLain, Nancy Heiden and Steven McLain, several grandchildren and great grandchildren. His three daughters, Maureen Bello, Karen Marques, Sandy McLain and his son, Todd McLain, his brother and sisters predeceased him. Family and Friends may call on Tuesday, August 1st from 4:00 to 6:30 p.m. with a Funeral Service to follow at 6:30 p.m. at the GREGORY F. DOYLE FUNERAL HOME, 291 BRIDGEPORT AVENUE, MILFORD. Interment will be private.
