Doris Y (Belanger) Richard

Doris Y. Richard, age 88, of FL, beloved wife of the late Eugene J. Richard, entered into peaceful rest on Sunday, March 5th 2017 surrounded by her loving family. Doris was born in Dartmouth, MA on November 13, 1928 to the late Majorique “Jerry” and Diana Leclerc Belanger. She worked as a machinist at Niantic tool for many years and was later a Credit Union Manager. She loved to sing and was a member of her church choirs. She enjoyed gardening and being outside and was a phenomenal shuffle board and card player. Survivors include her children: Diana Richards of North Haven, Paul Richard and his wife Patricia of Milford, Elaine Luchansky and her husband Joseph of Milford and Peter Richard and his wife Karen of Venice, FL, nine grandchildren: Todd Richards, Jason Richard, Eric Richards, Kevin Luchansky, Patrick Richard, Maria Jadach, Peter Richard Jr., Drew Richard and Matthew Richard and 11 great-grandchildren. Doris is predeceased by four siblings. Friends may call on Friday from 5:00 pm-8:00 pm in The Gregory F. Doyle Funeral Home, 291 Bridgeport Avenue, Milford. Friends are invited to attend the Funeral Mass DIRECTLY in Saint Agnes Church, Milford on Saturday at 11:00 am. Interment will be private.
