Ernestine Sherman

Ernestine “Tina” Sherman, age 88, of Milford died on Thursday, April 7, 2016.  Tina was born in Fort Fairfield, Maine on December 27, 1927 to the late Antonio and Catherine Parent Pelletier.  She lived in Milford for 69 years and worked at Burndy Corporation.  Tina loved to laugh and dance and sing.  She was a member of the Milford  Senior Center where she served as Secretary for several years and  participated in the gospel choir.  She also enjoyed line dancing, jazzercise and bingo.  She loved to travel and did so every chance she had.  She loved her little black cat and constant companion, Scamper.  And she especially loved family and family functions.  Survivors include her cherished daughter, Lynn Marie Dombrauskas and her husband Jim of New Hartford, sister, Catherine Pelletier Gordon of Tucson, AZ, nieces and nephews; Patricia Matlyak, Pamela Peate and Terry Skinner, and Philip Oakes Jr., Priscilla Rapuka and Debra Czarneski.  She is predeceased by her brother, Philip Pelletier, sister, Annett Oaks and niece, Lucinda Papapietro. Friends and family are invited to call on Friday, April 15th from 9:00AM-11:00AM in THE GREGORY F DOYLE FUNERAL HOME, 291 Bridgeport Avenue, Milford.  A memorial service will be held at 10:30AM in the funeral home.  Interment will follow in Saint Mary Cemetery, Milford.
