Florence M Maier

Florence M. Maier, age 93, of Milford, beloved wife of the late William Maier, entered into peaceful rest on Friday, February 5, 2016.  Florence was born in Bridgeport on February 14, 1922 to the late Nicola and Maria Caseria Adriani.  She was the former owner and operator of F. Maier Co for over 25 years.  She was a Legion Mary member at Saint Mary’s Church and enjoyed making rosary beads in her spare time.  She was also a member of the Milford Senior Citizens Center.  Survivors include her sister, Nancy Adriani of Bridgeport, two sister-in-laws, Veronica Adriani of Easton and Virginia Adriani of Fairfield and several nieces, nephews and grand-nieces and grand-nephews.  Florence is predeceased by her two sisters, Helen Adriani and Mary Czufin and five brothers, Dr. John Adriani, Philip, Frank, James and Joseph Adriani.  Family and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial on Tuesday at 10:00 am in Saint Mary Church, Milford.  Interment will follow in Saint Mary Cemetery, Milford.  There will be no calling hours.  In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the John Rigley Food Bank at Saint Mary’s Church, Swim Across the Sound or to the Milford Animal Shelter.  To leave an on-line condolence, please visit, www.gregoryfdoylefuneralhome.com
