Howard E Allen

Howard E. Allen, age 66, of Westbrook, beloved husband of Carol Yacobacci Allen, died peacefully on Friday, July 29, 2016.  Howard was born in Derby, CT on May 29th, 1950 to the late Marion Gerhinger Allen.  Howard worked at Alloy engineering as a machinist for over 35 years and was on the board of Pop Warner Football for over 10 years in West Haven.  He loved music and computers and enjoyed spending time with his three grandchildren.  Survivors, in addition to his wife Carol, include his children: Richard Allen and his wife Erin of East Haven, Brian Allen and his wife Lisa of Milford, three grandchildren; Richard, Joe and Andrew Allen, siblings; Raymond and Albert Allen, Grace Rennie, Jim Allen, Robin Joseph and several nieces and nephews.  Howard is predeceased by his brother; Edwin (Butch) Allen.  Friends and family may call on Tuesday morning from 9:00 am – 11:00 am in The Gregory F. Doyle Funeral Home, 291 Bridgeport Avenue, Milford.  A funeral service will be held on Tuesday at 11:30 amin Saint Andrew’s Church, Milford followed by interment with full military honors in Kings Highway Cemetery, Milford.  In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Wounded Warrior Project, 7020 A.C. Skinner Parkway, Suite 100, Jacksonville, FL, 32256.
