Rest in Peace Joan. You will be missed dearly. So many memories through the years on all the family gatherings and new traditions when our families came together. You welcomed us into your family which made holidays so special. Just as Kim was a sister to me, you treated me as a second daughter. So many laughs and so many happy moments that I will hold in my heart. Love to you and Kim ... Im so grateful for having you both in my life.

Dear sweet, beautiful Joan, the days are not as sunny as they used to be without your smiling face and radiant personality. You will always live on in our hearts through Jessica and Stephen. I will always treasure our friendship and wonderful memories. May God bless Larry, Jessica, Stephen and Maria and comfort them always.

I had the great pleasure of working with Joan while we were both travel agents in Monroe. We had so many laughs! One of my favorite stories was of when she was a flight attendant. She was working the dinner shift on that flight and was serving dessert. Just as she was about to serve a strawberry tart to a passenger, the plane hit turbulence. The tart fell onto the passenger's head. As Joan was telling this story, all of us cracked up but that wasn't the funniest part of the story. The funniest part was that she now had to try to clean up this man's head. Although embarrassed by what had happened, Joan couldn't help laughing at the situation which unfortunately made the passenger a bit upset. I have repeated this story often as I remembered Joan and the fun us girls had together. Thanks for the laughs, Joan! Rest In God's peace.

Joan was my college roommate. I really loved her. We unfortunately drifted apart over the years, reconnected a few times and drifted apart again. We stayed in touch on face book though, and I followed her trip to California and interactions with her grandchildren in recent years. She was beautiful, fun, very loving with an enormous heart. She is always in my heart. My condolences to her family and close friends. May you find peace in the loving memories she left behind.
