John Joseph Turko

John Joseph Turko, age 79, beloved husband of Patricia McCorkle Turko for 57 years, died on Monday, April 23, 2018 after a long courageous battle with ALS. John was born in Bridgeport, CT on May 15, 1938 to the late John and Clara Dombkowski Turko. John was a US Army Veteran and worked as a machinist for Remington Arms in Bridgeport for many years. Survivors include his brother, George Turko of Milford, children: Janice Reckers (Lawrence) of AZ and Joan Foley (Gerald) of Milford, two grandchildren; Scott (Jillian) Foley and Kevin (Fiancé, Olivia Anderson) Foley and great-grandson, Shane Foley. John is predeceased by his grandson, Shawn Patrick Foley. Friends and family are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial on Thursday, April 26th at 10:30 am in St. Mary Church, 70 Gulf Street, Milford. Interment will follow in Saint Mary’s Cemetery, Milford. There will be no calling hours. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Shawn P.
