Chris, Corrine, and Sean,
Your dad and I became friendly during our age group coaching years, He at FFLY and me at STRY. We commiserated on coaching at a small Y. I could always fine council in your dad's advice. In an age of high priced programs and over paid coaches, he did it "for love of the game". I will always treasure our weekends at the Y New England Championship in Providence. He was a good man who also was proud of his service to his country. Sorry for your loss.

Chris, Corinne and Sean:
Please accept my condolences on behalf of myself and the F&M swimmers whom your Dad lead for four years. He was our leader, our best swimmer, our friend and all of us who knew him will remember him fondly.

Dear Chris, Corrine, and Sean,
We have never met, but your dad was my godfather. We lived across the street from the Brophy family on Greens Farms Rd for many many years. I spent many hours in the big house with Veronica (we called her Ronnie or Broph ). The boys and Veronica were an important part of our lives. Sending prayers for peace and strength to sustain you during this time. Andrea (Harrison) Botelho

Our heartfelt sympathy and prayers on the passing of your Dad. As members of the
"FFLY family" for many years, it was a privilege to have him coach our girls. His mantra was always "do your very best". And then there was his wonderful smile and personable laugh. Some memories stay with us for a lifetime and he certainly gave us many. Thank you, Joe.....rest in peace... God bless!

To the Brophy family,
I extend my condolences. I worked at Goldstein & Peck, when Joe was there. He was a dedicated Attorney, always so kind. May all your wonderful memories be a source of comfort.

Dear Chris, Corinne and Sean,

What to say? Uncle Joe seemed like a man who would be here forever. A pillar, a rock. A mountain not to be moved. I am so sorry that this couldn't be true. I know how much he meant to all of you and really, to almost anyone who knew him well. When I was a child, I always looked forward to the occasions when I knew we would get to see him. Though, we had grown distant in my adult years, I thought of him often and fondly. He will be missed. I wish I could be there to hug each of you. Please know that I am thinking of you and you are in my heart always. Dan, Kim and Andy will all be there with our father, your Uncle Dan, to lend support and whatever else you may need.

Much love,

Lisa
