Katie Brennan Walkley

Katie B. Walkley, age 35, of Milford, beloved mother, daughter, sister, niece, and cousin, died on Tuesday, January 24th 2017.  Katie was born in Milford on April 20, 1981 to Timothy and Susan Brennan Walkley.  Katie graduated from Saint Joseph’s High School.  She was athletic, smart, had a fun and beautiful sense of style, and was absolutely adored by her nieces and nephews.  Her daughter Ava Brennan Abbotts was her pride and joy and the essence of her life.  She will be dearly missed by all who knew her.  Survivors, in addition to her daughter Ava and parents, include her sister, Kelly Chesson and her husband Daniel of West Haven, and their children Niamh, Molly,  and Lynnie,  and brother, Timothy Walkley and his wife Melissa of Branford, and their  children MacKenzie and Jacob,  grandfather, Donald G. Walkley of Shelton, and many aunts, uncles and cousins.  Katie is predeceased by her paternal grandmother, Natalie Walkley and maternal grandparents, Arthur and Ida Brennan and uncle, Corky Brennan.  Friends and family may call on Sunday, January 29th from 2:00 PM-5:00 PM in THE GREGORY F. DOYLE FUNERAL HOME, 291 Bridgeport Avenue, Milford.  A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday at 10:30 AM in Saint Mary Church, 70 Gulf Street, Milford.  Interment will be private.  In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to NAMI at  https://fundraise.namict.org/InMemoryofKatieBrennanWalkley
