Marjorie Breslin Gallagher, of Milford, entered into peaceful rest in her home, with her family by her side, and was reunited with her beloved husband, James, on Monday, December 28, 2015. Marge was born in Bridgeport, CT on her favorite holiday, July 4, 1927, to the late Michael and Madge O’Malley Breslin. She graduated from Harding High School, and after raising her children, she graduated from nursing school with honors. She was an L.P.N. at Bridgeport Hospital and Golden Hill Nursing Home for many years. Marge was a devoted and active parishioner at St Ann’s, and she was a Past-President of the Ladies Guild. She thoroughly enjoyed traveling, sewing, history, and rooting for UCONN Women’s basketball. Marge had boundless energy, and she was an extremely thoughtful person. Her family meant the world to her. She adored her grandchildren, and never missed one of their sporting or school events. Marge was a “hands-on” Grandma, and the grandchildren have countless happy memories of times spent with her. Survivors include her daughters, Kathleen Zancewicz and her husband, Michael, Mary Laudenslager and her husband, Glenn, all of Milford, sister, Mary Abriola (Lou) of FL, four grandchildren: Ashley Zennis and her husband, Mike, Bill, Sean and Matthew, cousins Cathy and Bob, and many nieces, nephews and extended family members. In addition to her husband and parents, Marge was predeceased by her sister, Ann Lush, and her brother, Joseph Breslin. Marge will be remembered for her strength, grace and courage, especially over the past 4 months. The family would like to thank Vitas Hospice, her aide, Ana, and her devoted friends and neighbors, for their loving care. Friends and family may call on Sunday, January 3rd from 3:00PM-6:00PM in The Gregory F Doyle Funeral Home, 291 Bridgeport Avenue, Milford. Friends and family are also invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial on Monday, January 4, at 11:00AM DIRECTLY in St. Ann Church, 501 Naugatuck Avenue, Milford. Interment will be private.
