Nancy M. Ligouri, age 93, beloved wife of the late Peter A. Ligouri for 47 years, died on July 12, 2016. Mrs. Ligouri was born in Pawcatuck, Connecticut on April 5, 1923 to the late Sabatino and Maria Miceli Tudisco. Nancy was raised in Pawcatuck and was the last of the 11 survivors of the 1938 Hurricane in Watch Hill, RI. Her and her husband owned and operated Bess Eaton Donuts in Stamford for over 25 years. She was a hard worker and devout catholic all her life. She was a longtime parishioner of The Basilica of Saint John the Evangelist in Stamford and a parishioner of Our Lady of Grace Church in Stratford for the last 21 years. She was a survivor of the Hurricane of 1938, where she floated on an attic floor used as a raft with ten other people. She is the last surviving sibling of a loving and compassionate family. She was loved by all who was blessed to know her and will never be forgotten. Survivors include her devoted children, Laura Dusick and husband Edward of Milford, Robert J. Ligouri and wife Donnamarie of Naugatuck, five grandchildren; Brandon Dusick, Andrea (Richard) Trimboli, Desiree Ligouri, Robert S. Ligouri, William (Tamara) Koster, two great-grandchildren; Jackson and Mikayla Trimboli, sisters-in-law, Angeline Gradilone and Maria Sposato of Westerly, RI and several nieces, nephews, and great nieces and nephews. Mrs. Ligouri is predeceased by her beloved son; Peter G. Ligouri, sisters; Annamarie Piccolo, Sarah Miceli, Nickolette Harwood, Angeline Koster, Frances Tudisco, Elizabeth Adriano, brothers; Joseph, Angelo, and Charles Tudisco, nieces; Donna Jean Adriano, Cheryl Mayhew, Mary Lou Morris, Michelle Adams, Mari Tudisco, nephews; Joseph Piccolo, Joseph Adriano Jr., William Koster, Salvatore Lorello and Frankie Gencarelli and sisters-in-law, Nancy Spezzano, Pauline Gencarelli and Rose Gencarelli. Friends and family may call on Thursday (TODAY) from 5 to 7 p.m. at the Gregory F Doyle Funeral Home, 291 Bridgeport Avenue, Milford and also on Friday, July 15th from 9:00 to 10:00 a.m. at the Funeral home with a Mass of Christian Burial to follow at 10:30 a.m. in Our Lady of Grace Church, 497 Second Hill Lane, Stratford. Interment will follow in Saint John Cemetery, Darien, CT.
