Raymond L Kelly

Raymond L. Kelly, age 87, beloved husband of 57 years to Alma Jean (Anthony) Kelly of Milford entered into peaceful rest on Monday, January 11, 2016 at Griffin Hospital, Derby.  He was born on July, 14, 1928 in Bridgeport to the late Lottie Ester Fogg and was also raised by his grandfather, Charles Fogg. He served in the U.S. Navy until his mother took ill and he went home to care for her. Mr. Kelly owned Ray Kelly Driveway Sealing and Repair in Milford and also worked at Sikorsky Aircraft for over 40 years before his retirement. He was a lifelong member of the American Legion Post #196 and the Milford Elks Club.  In addition to his devoted wife, Mr. Kelly leaves three children, Michael Gary Kelly and his wife Sharon of Portage, Indiana, Susan Jean Kelly of West Haven and Bonnie Ann Kelly of Seymour, three grandchildren, Jennifer Phillips, Patrick Raymond and Michael Carl Vogt, two great grandchildren, Logan and Madeline Phillips and a niece, Judith Gluck and her husband Paul of Stevens, PA. He was predeceased by a son, James Kelly and a daughter, Patricia Kelly.A Funeral Service will be held on Friday, Jan. 15th at 10:00 a.m. at the Gregory F. Doyle Funeral Home, 291 Bridgeport Avenue, Milford. Interment will follow in King’s Highway Cemetery, Milford. Family and friends may call on Thursday, Jan. 14 from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
