Ruth Ann (Wiberg) O'Donnell

Ruth Ann O’Donnell, age 79, of Milford, beloved wife of the late Patrick O’Donnell, entered peaceful rest on Thursday, March 16th 2017 surrounded by her loving family.  Ruth was born in Derby on September 6, 1937 to the late Eugene and Hattie C. Heine Wiberg.  She graduated from Ansonia High School in 1955.  She was Certified Nursing Aide at Golden Hill Rehabilitation Center in Milford for many years and enjoyed going to the Milford Senior Center.  Ruth was an avid reader and could frequently be found at the Milford Public Library.  She loved to garden and adored all animals.  Survivors include her children: Patrick O’Donnell of Milford, Eugene and his wife Claudine of New Haven, special granddaughter and daughter, Lily O’Donnell of Milford, sister, Carol Shortell and her husband Paul of Woodbury, grandchildren; Jaimee and Dylan Patrick O’Donnell, great-grandchildren, Elaija and Kiinan and numerous nieces and nephews.  Ruth is predeceased by her beloved daughter, Laura Lee O’Donnell.  She will be dearly missed by her many friends and family.  Friends may call on Monday from 4:00 pm-7:00 pm in The Gregory F. Doyle Funeral Home, 291 Bridgeport Avenue, Milford.  Friends are invited to attend a Funeral Service on Tuesday at 10:00 am in the Funeral Home followed by interment in Saint Mary Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Milford Senior Center or to the Milford Public Library.
