Sheila G (Herbert) Sardi

Sheila G. Sardi, age 78, of Milford, beloved wife of George Sardi for 58 years, died on Thursday, May 26.  Sheila was born in London, England on January 13, 1938 to the late Richard and Grace Evans Herbert.  She moved to the United States with her husband in 1958 and raised her family in Milford.  Sheila was an active member of her community, always volunteering at school and her church.  She was an avid gardener who also loved to read and knit. Survivors, in addition to her husband George, include her children: Richard Sardi (Colleen) of Madison, Andrew Sardi (Linda) of Colchester and Julia Gerace (James) of Monroe and many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.  Sheila is predeceased by her eldest son, Paul Sardi.  Friends and family may call on Tuesday from 5:00PM-8:00PM in The Gregory F Doyle Funeral Home, 291 Bridgeport Avenue, Milford. A Funeral Mass will be held on Wednesday at 10:00AM in Saint Andrew’s Church, 283 Bridgeport Avenue, Milford.  Interment will follow in Kings Highway Cemetery, Milford.  In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Cancer Society.  To share a memory, please visit, www.gregoryfdoylefuneralhome.com
