Thomas Mitchell Jr.

Thomas Mitchell Jr., age 92, of Milford, died on Wednesday, July 19, 2017.  Thomas was born in Panama on October 30, 1924 to the late Thomas Mitchell Sr. and Rosa Gerchow Mitchell.  Tom was a graduate of the University of Bridgeport and worked at Columbia Records for a number of years.  He retired from the City of Milford, Public Works Department where he worked as a water pollution chemist.  Tom also enjoyed photography and astronomy.  Survivors include his sister, Marguerite Plitnick and her husband Joseph of Climax, GA, nieces and nephews; Anita Rogers of Climax, GA, Steve Cronk and his wife Carol of VT, and Lynn Bashura and her husband George of Seymour, 5 great-nieces and nephews: LeAnn Rogers, John Rogers, William Cronk, Michele Devine and her husband James and Roy Kenyon and his wife Brenda and several great-great-nieces and nephews.  Friends and family may call on Wednesday, July 26th from 4:00PM-5:00PM in THE GREGORY F DOYLE FUNERAL HOME, 291 Bridgeport Avenue, Milford.  A Funeral service will be held at 5:00 PM in the Funeral Home.  Interment will be private.
