Schmidt- Louis P. Schmidt, age 65, of Darien, died on Saturday, October 13 in Norwalk Hospital. Louis was born in Milford, CT on November 22, 1946 to the late Cornelius and Marcella LaMarsh Schmidt. Survivors include his two daughters; Kimberly Starbard (Paul) of Guilford and Jennifer Anderson (Shane) of CA, four brothers: Paul J. Schmidt (Barbara Jean) of Milford, Vincent P. Schmidt (Barbara) of Orange, Neil J. Schmidt (Linda) of Milford and George P. Schmidt (Virginia) of East Haven, six grandchildren: Jake, Sarah, Katie, Evan, Ethan and Emily and his dear friend, Martha Ruther. Friends may call on Thursday evening, October 18, from 4-7PM at The Gregory F. Doyle Funeral Home, 291 Bridgeport Avenue, Milford. A prayer service will be held at 6:00PM. Interment will be private. I never know what to say in these sad situations. I'm just thinking of the fun we had as kids. Playing whiffle ball in the back yard, collecting insects from the garden for our bug collection, climbing trees, feeding the ducks down at the pond, and of course chasing peacocks at the Bronx Zoo. Those days may be gone but I'll never forget them.

Words fail to express my sadness at the death of Lou. I cannot begin to understand what you must be going through right now, but I send my love, and I promise to pray for your entire family and friends. Lou had a great smile and enjoyed going to concerts and parties with his friends.
Let the beauty of each new day nourish your soul and bring you peace.
