Rivera- Celina Rivera, age 88, of Milford, beloved wife of Ramon Rivera, went to be with our Lord Friday, October 26th. Celina was born in Puerto Rico on December 6, 1923 to the late Ramon and Secundina Reyes Fernandez. She moved to Connecticut in 1952 where she raised her family and enjoyed to cook and garden. Survivors in addition to her husband Ramon, include her two children: Ray and his wife Marcie Rivera of Beacon Falls and Wilfredo and his wife Raquel of Milford, six grand daughters: Linda McMahon, Cheryl Rivera, Laura Hillman, Nicole Noey, Dawn Dontas and Erica Ciampi, ten great-grandchildren: Michael Guinn, Danielle and Joey McMahon, Michael and Alexander Dontas,Santina and Luca Ciampi, Jace Noey, Cooper and Michell Hillman and her health care companion Susana Barrios. Celina is pre-deceased by her seven brothers and sisters. The family would like to thank the staff at West River Health Care Center for their compassion and care for Celina during her stay. Friends may call on Thursday evening from 6-8PM at The Gregory F. Doyle Funeral Home, 291 Bridgeport Avenue, Milford. A funeral service will be held on Friday morning at 10AM in the funeral home followed by interment in Kings Highway Cemetery.
