Guido "Guy" Bonvicini

Guido “Guy” Bonvicini, age 86, of Milford, beloved husband of Carol Matera Bonvicini for 57 years, died on Thursday, July 20, 2017.  Guy was born in Bridgeport on December 29, 1930 to the late Guiseppe and Guiseppina Morando Bonvicini.  He was a proud US Air Force Veteran serving in the Korean War as a Military Police Sargent.  Guy retired from CL&P in Devon in 1994 in the Plant Service Department.  He was an active member of St Ann Church, the K of C Tinto Council #47, a charter member of Fr. Breen Assembly 4th Degree of K of C and the Catholic War Veterans Post 1466.  Guy was also a member of the American Legion Post 16 in Shelton and the Riverside volunteer Fire Co in Oxford.  He was a member of Big Six Duckpin Bowling League, Valley Horseshoe League and played softball for many teams in the over 50 league.  Guy enjoyed gardening and will be dearly missed by his many friends and family.  Survivors include his children: Linda Marsh (David) of North Haven, Robert Bonvicini (Michele) of Orange and Deborah Winters (Richard) of Milford and nine grandchildren.  Guy is predeceased by his brother, Thomas Bonvicini.  Friends and family may call on Sunday, July 23rd from 4:00 pm – 8:00 pm in THE GREGORY F DOYLE FUNERAL HOME, 291 Bridgeport Avenue, Milford.  A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday at 10:30 am in Saint Ann Church, 501 Naugatuck Avenue, Milford.  Interment will be private.
