Having had the privilege to work 2him as an undergraduate student at Fairfield university when he was the executive director of Community Legal Services in Bridgeport, I later served with Jim on the CBA Ethics Committee as a fellow lawyer. He taught me one of the most important things to protect as lawyers, ALWAYS keep your word while representing a client. I am privileged to have known him.

We will miss our neighbor Jim, especially the lively discussions we had about our trees and gardens. Jim was also an expert on good places to visit in CT, which proved very helpful to two previous New Yorkers. Will will also miss Jim's little companion Torby, a beautiful calico cat that regularly came to visit us. We hope she found a good home.
Rest in peace Jim, we will surely miss you.

I knew Jim from our days at Fairfield Prep and graduated the same year-1959.
Although I now live out of state and haven't seen Jim for years, I never forgot how kind and thoughtful Jim was. My first law job was with Legal Services in NH and learning that he spent a life time in those pursuits, speaks volumes of the values he possessed.
It was my pleasure and benefit to have known him.

Jim was a colleague, friend, mentor and Sherpa. Being both a fellow clinical teacher and member of the CBA Professional Ethics Committee, I learned from Jim in multiple roles and settings. His wisdom, judgment, and life's work -- both as a lawyer for those seeking justice and as an advisor for lawyers seeking guidance -- are legendary. Thank you, Jim, for your service. I shall miss you.
