Janette D (Archer) Mahoney

Janette Doreen Archer Mahoney , 85, of Milford, passed away peacefully on Saturday September 23, 2017 at Branford Hospice after a long illness.  Janette was born in Rubery Rednell Worcestershire England and was employed at British Leyland Motor Works.  Janette met her future husband Robert while he was stationed at Brize Norton Air Force Base in England.  She worked for the George B. Clark Furniture Company and Steinbach, both in Bridgeport and Langanke Florist in Shelton.  Janette was an animal lover and cherished her many west highland terrier dogs.  She is predeceased by her husband of 61 years, Robert; brother-in-law, Frank Mahoney and sister-in-law, Pat of Stratford and sister-in-law, Janet of Arlington, TX.  Left to cherish her memory is her only son, Kevin of Milford and her many dear nieces and nephews in the US and United Kingdom.  Friends are invied to greet the family on Thursday, September 28th from 5:00 pm – 7:00 pm in The Gregory F. Doyle Funeral Home, 291 Bridgeport Avenue, Milford.  Interment will be private.  The family would like to thank the staff at Golden Hill Rehabilitation Center in Milford, the Yale New Haven Hospital Group and Branford Hospice for her final days.
