Our deepest sympathies to Maja, Izabela and the Brown family. Mark was a kind soul and a tremendous example of how we should to treat each other. His friendship was a blessing and we will miss him terribly. We wish all of you love and peace in the years ahead. Mark leaves us with happy memories that will stay with us always.

I am so sorry to hear of Mark's passing. Prayers of strength and peace to his family and loved ones. I had lost touch with Mark but he will forever live in my memory as one of the kindest, happiest and most genuine people I have ever met. His mega-watt smile could light up a room and everyone was better for knowing him. He was one of the first people I met when I started college at ESCU and one of the people I most enjoyed my 4 years there. He will always have a special place in my heart. Godspeed my friend, you will always be "Dig-Em" my sweet friend.

To The Brown Family: My thoughts are with you during these sad times. I met Mark, (Dig’em) in the summer of 1986. We went from NFL rivals, to college roommates, to lifelong friends. I will miss his infectious smile that could light up a room and brighten the darkest day. Whether we were playing cards, watching a game or listening to music, Dig’em’s amazing personality is what made our gatherings special. He was always willing to help a friend or even reach out to a stranger in need. I’m heartbroken over your loss, but know that you raised a man who was very special to a great many of people and will be deeply missed. He was LOVED by all who knew him.

Very sad to hear of my classmates passing. Condolences to the family in this time of grief. I was a fellow RA at E.C.S.U with Mark and although it's been some time since we've connected the news of his passing really caught me off guard.

May the good Lord keep the family covered..

I wanted to write a little something on behalf of my good friend Mark. I've known Mark for almost 4 years...I met him for the first time when we randomly met at the park behind Milford Library where we took our kids to play. From the first moment we started talking, I knew Mark was a genuine guy and watching him interact with my kids and especially his daughter Maja, I could tell that he was a wonderful father who adored his daughter more than anything!!!! Our kids ended up going to school and playing baseball together and Mark and I and our families became friends. The friendship we developed and just getting to know him as a person, I consider myself lucky and blessed!! I have some great lasting memories talking about life, our yankess/red sox talks, all the laughs we had..... but most importantly talking about our families and how much he loved his wife and daughter.... I will always hold those close to me. Even when Mark was sick and battling, he would be at Maja's baseball games to watch her play and even though he was hurting inside, you would never know it by his infectious smile and how happy he was to be there rooting for his girl!!! Words can't express the hurt I have in my heart, especially the hurt for Izabela and Maja because it is not fair!! I just want to say I am lucky to call Mark a great friend and someone I will miss terribly!!!! Rest easy buddy!!!!......Kev
