Mary Ann Petruzzelli Martino King

Mary Ann Petruzzelli Martino King, age 75, of Milford, died on Wednesday, May 9th, 2018 surrounded by her loving family.  Mary Ann was born in New Haven on October 20, 1942 to the late Ralph and Ann Dirienzo Petruzzelli. She worked at New Haven Terminal, quickly learning the Steel Business and also in logistics for Bushwick Metals.  In 1995, Mary Ann was involved in the Transportation broker business and in 2000 started her own company called Harborside Freight and also owned Harborside Transportation for three years.  Mary Ann held offices in the Shoreline Emergency Team, Harborview Credit Union and was President of the Southwind Village Condo Assoc.  She loved to read and enjoyed her time at Water’s Edge watching the ocean.  In her later years, she enjoyed the time she spent with her close friends.  Mary Ann was a hardworking and kind person who thought of others before herself.    Survivors include her beloved children: Therese Valenti (Robert) of Wallingford, Michele Martino of Hamden and Mark J. Martino of Milford, six grandchildren, and three great-grandchildren.  Mary Ann is predeceased by her brother, Ralph Petruzzelli.  Friends and family may call on Friday, May 11th from 4:00pm – 7:00pm in The Gregory F. Doyle Funeral Home, 291 Bridgeport Avenue, Milford.  A Funeral Service will be held in Saint Peter’s Episcopal Church, 71 River Street, Milford on Saturday, May 12th at 9:00am.  Interment will follow in Beaverdale Memorial Park, New Haven.
