Viola D. (Volpe) Callahan

Viola D. Callahan, age 95, of Milford, beloved wife of the late John (Jack) Callahan, died on Wednesday, August 2, 2017.  Viola was born in Brooklyn, NY on July 15, 1922 to the late Frank and Jennie Susi Volpe.  Viola worked at Sikorsky Aircraft for many years as an Administrative Assistant.  Survivors include her brother, Ernest (Rose) Volpe of Boca Raton, FL, two beloved nieces; Debbie (Robert) Chaffin and Jennie (Douglas) Daniells both of Milford, and several nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.  Viola is predeceased by her son, John Callahan, sisters; Angie Lucas, Rose Milano, Jean Colangelo, Jennie Santora and brother, Frank Volpe.  Friends and family are invited to call on Saturday, August 5th from 8:00 am – 8:30 am in The Gregory F. Doyle Funeral Home, 291 Bridgeport Avenue, Milford.  A Mass of Christian Burial will follow in St Mary Church, Milford at 9:00 am.  Interment will be in St Mary Cemetery, Milford.
