Alfonso Giovanni Affinito

Alfonso Giovanni Affinito, age 89, of West Haven, beloved partner of Kenneth John Kruger for many years, died on February 3, 2020.  Alfonso was born in New Haven on November 1, 1930 to the late Alfonso and Antonetta Gaetano Affinito.  Alfonso worked at Saint Raphael Hospital as a Licensed Practical Nurse and was also a published playwright.  He loved the opera and enjoyed the theater.  Survivors include his niece, Dorothy Velardi and many cousins and close friends.  Alfonoso was one of 12 children and was predeceased by all of them. Their names were: Margherita, Julia, Mollie, Marie, Henrietta, Louis, Helen, Millie, Yolanda, Gloria and Lenore.  Calling hours will be held on Tuesday February 11th from 10:00 am – 11:00 am in The Gregory F. Doyle Funeral Home, 291 Bridgeport Avenue, Milford.   A Service will be held in the funeral home at 11:00 am and interment will follow in Saint Lawrence Cemetery, West Haven.
