Ann (Capano) Moll

Ann Moll, age 96 of Milford, passed away peacefully on Sunday, April 14th, 2024, surrounded by her family.

Born on November 22, 1927, in Brooklyn, NY, she was the daughter of Frank and Irene Capano. Ann's journey took her from Long Island to Milford in the 1950s, where she raised her four children along the shoreline in both the Fort Trumbull and Bayview neighborhoods.

Ann was predeceased by her son Daniel Moll, daughter Irene Moll, and grandson Christopher Moll.

She is survived by her daughters Nell Moll (Dory Nielson) and Kate Silva (Richard Silva), grandchildren Tara Kristman, Ian Shea (Karen Shea), Brendan Moll (Michele Moll), and Makayla Silva; great-grandchildren Andrew Evans, Chris Moll, Sarah Kristman, Sam Kristman, Matthew Shea, McKenzie Shea, Jillian Shea, Noah O’Keefe, Charlotte O’Keefe, Daniel Moll, and Sadie Moll; great-great grandchildren Aria Evans and Emilia Evans.

A longtime realtor in both Connecticut and Puerto Rico, Ann had a deep love for real estate.

Ann was an avid antique collector always keeping a discerning eye for treasures throughout her years of thrift shopping.

An avid reader, Ann could always be found with her nose in a book, usually a mystery or a cookbook, curled up with her beloved cat Bella, who always provided her with unwavering companionship.

Ann loved to cook (and grocery shop,) regularly delivering homemade macaroni and cheese or spaghetti and meatballs to her neighbors who became her dear friends.

Ann loved to garden and always had a green thumb, always able to grow flowers and vegetables from seed, keeping a flourishing garden.

She was an avid Yankee fan and loved to recount each inning during the commercials on the phone with her daughter, Kate.

While we mourn Ann's passing, may her legacy of warmth and kindness continue to inspire us all and may we never forget to always count our blessings.

Family and friends may call on Friday, April 19th, 2024 from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. followed by a funeral service at 12:30 p.m. at the GREGORY F. DOYLE FUNERAL HOME, 291 BRIDGEPORT AVENUE, MILFORD. Interment will be private.
