Betty A. (Fontaine) Morse

Betty A. Morse, age 75, of Milford, entered into peaceful rest on Sunday, March 15, 2020 at CT Hospice in Branford.

She was born on February 22, 1945 in Bridgeport and was the daughter of the late Edward and Dorothy (MacDonald) Fontaine. Betty worked at Stop and Shop in Milford. She was an active member and a Eucharistic Minister at Saint Gabriel Church, she also enjoyed teaching for St. Raphael Parish Gift Program and Pastoral Counsel Outreach for Communication. She received the St. Joseph Medal of Appreciation from the Hartford Archdiocese.

Betty is survived by her daughter, Renee Morse of Stratford, and two grandsons, Michael and Brandon Morse and her sister, Geraldine Kemp and her husband Michael of South Hadley, MA and her brother, Jack Fontaine and his wife June of Salt Lake City, Utah. She also leaves her nieces and nephews, Janet Kemp, Joseph Kemp, Kathy Buckley, Brian Fontaine, Suzanne Fontaine and Danny Fontaine. Her brothers, Danny Fontaine and Albert Fontaine predeceased her.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at a later date at Saint Gabriel Church (Saint Raphael Parish) Interment will be held at Saint Mary Cemetery, Milford. There will be no calling hours. Arrangements have been entrusted with the Gregory F. Doyle Funeral Home, 291 Bridgeport Avenue, Milford.
