David Michael Flanagan

David Michael Flanagan, age 61, of Milford, beloved husband of Maria Paternoster Flanagan for 35 years, died on November 9, 2021. David was born in Bridgeport, CT on January 25, 1960 to Shirley McCarthy Flanagan of Milford and the late John Flanagan. He was a U.S. Army veteran. He was a groundskeeper at Fairfield Memorial Park Cemetery in Stamford for many years and loved camping and learning about history. He was an avid sports fan and was dedicated to the Red Sox and Notre Dame teams. He was a great father and uncle to many. Survivors, in addition to his wife Maria, include his children; Anthony Flanagan and Melissa Flanagan of Milford, brother, Kevin Flanagan of Milford, sister, Mary Ellen Flanagan of Stratford, father and mother-in-law, Nicholas and Linda Paternoster of Milford, five sisters-in-law and six brothers-in-law and many nieces and nephews. Friends and family may call on Wednesday, November 17th from 9:00 a.m. - 10:30 a.m. in THE GREGORY F. DOYLE FUNERAL HOME, 291 Bridgeport Avenue, Milford. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. in St Ann Church (St Raphael Parish) and interment will follow in Kings Highway Cemetery, Milford with full military honors. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Diabetes Association.
