Edmonde (Castex) Daley

Edmonde (Castex) Daley, age 93, beloved wife of the late Robert W. Daley, entered peaceful rest on October 27, 2022. Edmonde, known as 'Eddie' to many, was born on March 24, 1929 in Villefranche-sur-Mer, France and was the daughter of the late Richard and Sylvia Onorini Castex. She was a waitress in France where she met the love of her life while he was serving in the US Navy. After they moved to the US, she worked at Schick and Burndy Co. for many years. She was a strong woman and her love of family was everything, especially her grandchildren. Eddie was a great cook and took pride in homeownership and taking great care of her yard. She enjoyed being a seamstress in her spare time.

She is survived by her devoted children, Michael Daley of West Haven and Maureen Springsteen of Milford and three loving grandchildren, Brian, Kevin and Ashley Springsteen. She is also survived by her siblings in France, Pierre, Lucienne and Monique and several nieces and nephews.
