Ellen (Shaw) Foley

Ellen Foley, age 85, of Milford, beloved wife of the late James Foley passed away peacefully on Thursday, Nov. 25, 2021 with her devoted sons and loving family by her side.

Born in 1936 in Kilwinning, Scotland, Ellen was the daughter of the late Sarah Keenan Shaw and Robert Sim Shaw. Along with her husband and sons, Gerald and Brian she immigrated to the United states and settled in Bridgeport, CT. In 1972 she moved to Milford where she has spent the last 49 years.

She was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother, who cared deeply for her family. Ellen will be missed dearly by all that knew her.

She is survived by her loving sons, Gerald Foley (Joan) of Milford and Brian Foley (Sandra) of Northbrook, IL and four grandchildren, Scott Foley (Jillian), Kevin Foley (Olivia) Kyle Foley and Sarah Foley and her great grandson, Shane Foley. In addition to her husband, she was predeceased by her grandson, Shawn Foley, and her brother, Thomas Shaw and sister, Jannette Glenn.

Family and Friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated on Tuesday, November 30, 2021 at 10:30 a.m. at St. Ann Church (St. Raphael Parish) 501 Naugatuck Ave. Milford. Interment will be private. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Shawn Foley Memorial Scholarship Fund c/o Jonathan Law High School, 20 Lansdale Avenue, Milford, CT 06460. Arrangements have been entrusted with the GREGORY F. DOYLE FUNERAL HOME, 291 BRIDGEPORT AVENUE, MILFORD.
