Ernestine (Keller) Olencki

Ernestine Olencki, of Milford, beloved wife of the late Leonard E.  Olencki, died on Friday, July 15, 2022.  Ernestine was born in Derby, CT to the late Louis James Keller, and Ernestine Doyle Keller.  She was raised in Brooklyn, NY and graduated from Mary Immaculate Hospital School of Nursing. Ernestine worked at Milford Hospital and Park City Hospital for more than 35 years,  and in retirement   volunteered  at Milford Hospital, the Milford Senior Citizens Center and the Arens Program.  

Survivors include her children: James Olencki of Stamford, Lorraine Olencki of Tampa, FL, Yvonne Lakin (Robert ) of Sutton, NH, Deborah Gallagher (Paul) of Summerville, SC and Marjorie Wakeman (Robert Ritchie) of Woodbridge, and  daughter-in-law, Susan Olencki of West Haven. She is also survived by  21 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren and one great-great grandchild. Ernestine is predeceased by her son, Leonard E. Olencki, Jr. and sister, Margaret Ellen Leyes.

Friends and family are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial on Monday, July 25th at 10:00 a.m. in Saint Ann Church (Saint Raphael Parish), 501 Naugatuck Avenue, Milford.  Interment will follow in Saint Mary Cemetery, Milford.  THE GREGORY F.
