Geraldine E. Bruder

Geraldine E. Bruder of Milford, CT passed away after a short illness on Wednesday, August 23, 2023.  She is survived by her loving husband of 59 years, John R. Bruder, Sr. She was born in Bridgeport, CT on November 21, 1940.  She worked at Milford Hospital as a Unit Secretary for many years. Geraldine was a kind and loving person, who really enjoyed spending time with her kids, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. She enjoyed cooking, fine dining, wine and her many trips to the casino. She was also a huge QVC fan and only did her shopping through them. She will be deeply missed by many.

Survivors include her three children, Karen Bruder of Milford, CT, John (Katherine) Bruder of Milford, CT, and Diane (Chris) Banks of Streetsboro, OH; one brother, Robert (Gunilla) Kettles of Fairfield, CT; four grandchildren, Sean (Samantha) Bruder of Beacon Falls, CT, Erik (Danielle) Bruder of Coventry, RI, Zachary Banks of Streetsboro, OH, Samantha (Danny) Giunto of Ravenna, OH; and three great grandchildren, Hayden Bruder, Emersyn Bruder, and Jameson Bruder; and also many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her sister, Joyce (Gary) Silverman, and her parents, John and Nellie Kettles. She was also recently predeceased by her beloved cat, Louie.

Geraldine wished to be cremated and per her request there will not be a traditional service, but a private memorial for close family and friends.  In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the American Heart Association on her behalf.  GREGORY F.
