Gertrude (Tremml) Simpson

Gertrude (Trudy) Tremml Simpson, age 94, of Milford, beloved wife of the late Edward V. Simpson, died on Sunday, January 10, 2021.  Trudy was born in Bronx, NY on September 26, 1926 to the late Peter and Gertrude Behrivanger Tremml.  She was an active parishioner of St. Mary Church (Precious Blood Parish) for many years.  Trudy worked at the Kennedys/Nyden’s clothing store at CT Post Mall and later retired from the City of Milford Registrar’s Office where she most enjoyed working with city employees and the citizens of Milford.  She was an avid reader, enjoyed doing crossword puzzles, going to the movies, and playing cards with her grandchildren.  Trudy is survived by her daughter Christine Simpson, son, Gary (Beth) Simpson, cherished grandchildren, Robbie and Emily, a son Michael Simpson, a grandson and three great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.  She is predeceased by a brother, Peter Tremml and sister, Julia Tremml.  The family would like to give their heartfelt appreciation to Carriage Green at Milford, associates and staff for their unwavering care and support they have shown Trudy.   They would also like to acknowledge Milford Hospital Memorial 3 West nursing staff and doctors for their unselfish support and compassion.  Services will be held in private.
