Gioacchino de Nicolo Obituary

Gioacchino “Nino” de Nicolo, age 90, beloved husband of 60 years to Constance E. (Sherwood) de Nicolo of Milford, entered peaceful rest on January 20, 2021 at home surrounded by his family.

He was born on November 23, 1930 in Terlizzi, Bari, Italy and was the son of the late Pietro and Anna (Albrizio) de Nicolo. Mr. de Nicolo was a land surveyor for the City of Milford for over 30 years before his retirement and continued in private practice until 2020. Nino was a longtime active member of the Milford Lions Club.

In addition to his devoted wife, he leaves five sons: Pietro and his wife, Sandra; Charles; Paul; Andrew and his wife Jaimie; and Daniele, twelve grandchildren, and three great grandchildren. He also leaves his brother, Donato and his wife Jane, and five sisters, Carmela Barry and her spouse John, Angela Garisto, Lucia de Nicolo, Vittoria Campanale and her spouse Rocco, and Rita Lugogo. His sister, Mariantonia de Leo predeceased him.

Services will be held in private.
