Hilda Christina (Hanley) Malisek

Hilda Christina Hanley, M.D., also known as Hilda Christina Malisek, age 85, of Milford, beloved wife of the late Anthony J. Malisek,  passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her loved ones on January 7, 2023.

She was born on July 1, 1937 in Dundalk, Ontario, Canada and was the daughter of the late Henry G. and Hilda A. (Sandwith) Hanley.

Dr. Hanley was a physician/endocrinologist for 43 years in Bridgeport, CT.  She was dedicated to and much loved by her patients

She is survived by her sister, Marian Birkinshaw, nieces and nephews Wendy Birkinshaw Malo (Stephane), Gordon Birkinshaw (Ariel) and Lorna Masters (Greg), all of Canada, and several additional nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her sister Dr. Phyllis Hanley Ross, and brothers-in-law Keith Birkinshaw and Cragg Ross.

Family and friends may call on Friday, January 13th from 4:00 p.m. - 6:00 p.m. in THE GREGORY F. DOYLE FUNERAL HOME, 291 BRIDGEPORT AVENUE, MILFORD, CT.   A Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, January 14th at 11:00 a.m. DIRECTLY in Saint Andrew’s Episcopal Church, Milford.  Interment will be private. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in her name to St. Andrew’s Memorial Fund or the American Diabetes Association.
