Obituary
James Franklin Burdo, Jr, age 89, of Milford, beloved husband of the late Jeanne (Sherwood) Burdo, entered peaceful rest on June 18, 2023.
He was born on December 24, 1933 in Bridgeport and was the son of the late James F. Burdo, Sr. and Harriet (Ball) Burdo. Mr. Burdo was a skilled sheet rock taper for many years. He was a 50+year member of the First United Church of Christ and was also a Cub Scout Master for Pack 5 in Devon. He served in the CT National Guard for nine years.
Mr. Burdo is survived by his devoted son, James F. Burdo, III of Milford and three grandchildren, Anthony, Marcia and Jonathan and several great grandchildren. In addition to his parents and wife, he was predeceased by his son, William Burdo.
Family and friends may call on Thursday, June 22, 2023 from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at the GREGORY F. DOYLE FUNERAL HOME, 291 BRIDGEPORT AVENUE, MILFORD with a Funeral Service to follow at 11:00 a.m. Interment will follow at King’s Highway Cemetery, Milford.
