James R Cooke

James R. Cooke, age 74 of Fairfield and formerly of Milford, passed away on August 1, 2020 at Bridgeport Hospital.

He was born on January 26, 1946 in Nashville, TN and was the son of the late Verle and Nannie (Smith) Cooke. Jimmy loved Superheroes and Comic Books. He also enjoyed bowling, dancing and singing karaoke.

Jimmy was survived by his devoted brothers and sisters, Robert Cooke and his wife, Toni McLellan of Rochester, New Hampshire, Christina Smith and her husband Aaron J. Smith, Sr. of Milford and Sharon Bigos and her husband Adam of Gresham, Oregon, four loving nieces and nephews, Catherine Smith, Aaron J. Smith, Jr. Adam Smith and Amanda Bigos and many close friends he made through The Kennedy Center.

Family and friends may call on Saturday, August 8th from 9:00 to 10:00 a.m. at THE GREGORY F. DOYLE FUNERAL HOME, 291 BRIDGEPORT AVENUE, MILFORD, CT. A Graveside Service will follow (DIRECTLY) at King’s Highway Cemetery, Milford at 10:30 a.m. Social Distancing and Masks will be required during the services.
