James Patrick Rutledge, age 73, of Milford, beloved husband of Carol (Maggie) Wheeler Rutledge for 53 years, died on Sunday, May 16, 2021 surrounded by his loving family. Jim was born in Pittston, PA on November 9, 1947 to the late John and Marguerite Gallagher Rutledge. He worked in Information Technology at Pitney Bowes for 27 years. Jim loved his family and enjoyed gardening and was a Lionel train collector. He was an active parishioner in Saint Gabriel Church for many years and was a PGK, PFN and PDD in the Knights of Columbus. He loved ALL music, photography, traveling, and living life to its fullest. He will be dearly missed by his family and many friends. Survivors include his children: Diane Buraszeski (Tony) of IL, Denise Rutledge Sperduti of East Haven, Jennifer Lomme of Milford, Jacquelynn Rzepko of Milford, and Travis Rutledge of Milford, eight grandchildren; John, Jessica, Monica, James, Kenny, Joe, Samantha and Jillian and several nieces and nephews. James is predeceased by his brother, John Rutledge. Friends and family may call on Thursday, May 20th from 6:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. in THE GREGORY F. DOYLE FUNERAL HOME, 291 Bridgeport Avenue, Milford. Masks will be required.
