John Hennessey, Jr. Obituary

John J. Hennessey Jr. age 78, of Naugatuck entered peaceful rest on March 15, 2021. He was the son of the late John J. Hennessey, Sr. and Vera (Shultis) Hennessey and was born in Milford. He was a proud U.S. Army veteran and served during the Vietnam Era. Mr. Hennessey was a member of the American Legion Post #196. He enjoyed telling stories from his military experiences at the Pentagon, He enjoyed bird watching and visiting Milford beaches for walks. He enjoyed volunteering for the March of Dimes and Special Olympics. Telling stories, sipping Guinness and smoking his pipe were his pleasures. Dad was extremely proud of his Irish Heritage. Visiting Ireland twice to visit with family. He was a proud and involved grandfather. Mr. Hennessey is survived by his devoted daughter, Kelly Hennessey and his cherished grandsons, Cameron Foster, Jr. of Florida and Connor Foster of Naugatuck, sister, Ellen Blaho deceased husband Emil, Patricia Shepard of Stratford husband Don. Several nieces and nephews. Former spouse, Christine Carpenter, stepsons, Jerry Wright, Michael Wright, and Daniel Wright and Beloved family friend Jerry Hoey.
