Josephine F. Kilbride

Jo Kilbride, age 93, of New York City, beloved wife of the late Richard Kilbride entered peaceful rest on October 30, 2023. 

She was born on April 4, 1930 in Detroit, Michigan and was the daughter of the late Thomas and Rachel (Vismara) Vanadia. Jo was an elementary teacher in both Detroit and San Diego, California and later worked for many years at Saks Fifth Avenue in Stamford, CT. She was an avid volunteer at the Stamford Museum and Nature Center, and was instrumental in developing and curating their initial “Country Store”. She was a lover of Broadway and enjoyed going to weekly Wednesday Matinees with her AAUW friends and also looked forward to her monthly luncheons with the “Sak's Ladies.” The ladies were so well known they actually once were featured in the Stamford Advocate! 

Jo is survived by her devoted daughters, Sam Utzler(Ryan) of Milford and Kathleen Hall (Stacy) five grandchildren, Nick, Julie, Francesca, Casey and Jack and three great grandchildren, Abel, Josephine and Nicole. She was predeceased by her sisters, Joanne Johnson and Mary Vanadia.
