Obituary
Kathleen A. Romano age 80 of Melbourne Florida passed away peacefully on Thursday, February 17, 2022, in her home surrounded by her family after a brief illness. Kathy was born on September 18, 1941, in Bridgeport to the late Arthur Horney and Catherine (Horney) Hansen. She was a graduate of Milford High School. Before retiring she was an inspector for the Norwalk Housing Authority. Kathy was a long-time resident of Milford until she moved to Melbourne Florida with her late husband, Frank Romano. They both enjoyed many years in their retirement community in Melbourne.
Ms. Romano is survived by her daughter Kim McGovern (Tom) of Palm Bay, Florida, Her grandchildren Annalee Greco of Milford, Frank Greco IV of Stamford, her brother Arthur Harney (Joyce) of Stratford, her sister Lynn Jones of Milford, stepdaughter Sharon Williams of Leesburg, Florida, several nieces and nephews, and several step grandchildren. Besides her parents, she is predeceased by her husband Frank Romano.
A graveside service will be held on May 20, 2022, at 11:00 am at St. Mary’s Cemetery, Buckingham Ave. in Milford. Gregory F. Doyle Funeral Home of Milford are providing arrangements.
