Kenneth Michael Bloxsom, 66 of Milford, passed away at his home on Sunday November
26, 2023. He was the loving husband of 30 years to Sandra Bloxsom. He was born
October 19, 1957 in New Rochelle, New York to the late William and Celestine Bloxsom.
Ken had a very loving nature and found joy in many things. As a young child he was easy
going and very funny. Little things made him happy. Ken loved music. As a fifth grade
student Ken came home from school one Friday afternoon and told his mother he
wished to learn a piano piece by Mozart and had told his music teacher he would like to
perform it the following Monday! He had never played before! So his mother, also a
school teacher and pianist, found a piece she felt he could perform. He worked hard
over the weekend and performed the piece successfully on Monday. Everyone was
amazed and his piano/keyboard career was launched.Ken had been playing in bands
since his 20’s and over the years also composed some wonderful meditation pieces. He
was great on the keyboards and had an amazing voice. If you had a wish to play guitar or
keyboard he would find a way to make sure you had one. He was so thoughtful in many
ways, picking up little things that had special meaning to give you for a birthday or for
no special reason. In his later years, Ken shared his gift of music with the residents of
the local nursing homes, playing and singing the tunes of their generation. He also
enjoyed delivering for Meals on Wheels.
Ken loved cheering on his favorite sports teams, the Boston Red Sox and the New
England Patriots. He also loved dogs and could be found spending time with his favorite
pup, Cody, down at Casey’s.
In addition to his wife, Sandy, Ken will be sadly missed by his siblings: Marianne Bloxsom
and her husband, Ken Wingood of West Haven, William Bloxsom and his wife, Kathleen
of Milford, and James Bloxsom and his wife Catherine of Maine; mother-in-law,
Jaquelynne; brother-in-law, Robert Boston and his wife Katherine; sister-in-law, Diana
LeBlanc and her daughter, Jacquelynne; nieces and nephews: Stacy, Brett (Cristina) and
son Benjamin, Lindsay (Sean) and son Finnegan, Kevin, Kira (Shane), Amy (Ed), Kyle, and
Wesley (Christy); and many cousins and friends.
