Leonard John Scalzi

Leonard John Scalzi, age 76 of Milford, completed his journey through life here October 4, 2023, after a courageous battle with cancer. He was the beloved husband of Joanne Terranova Scalzi of 52 years. Lenny was the son and only child of the late Leonard A. Scalzi and Anna Buick Scalzi. Lenny was born and raised in Bridgeport where he was a 1965 graduate of Harding High School where he was a stellar athlete. He was retired from DHL and previously United Parcel Service. Lenny was also proud to have served in the US Army during Vietnam where he was Personal Sargent on a missile base in Schweinfurt, Germany. Outside of spending time with his family Lenny was an avid NY Yankee and NY Giants fan who never missed the Michael K show.
Besides his wife, Joanne he is survived by his 3 daughters, Tricia (Waymon) Boone, Jennifer Nolan, Leah Scalzi (David Mahaffy), brother-in-law Sal and (Maureen) Terranova. His treasured grandsons Matthew T. Nolan and Luca M. Stavrevski all of Milford. R.I.P "Pepino" 143 always.
Per Lenny's request there will be no calling hours. A Celebration of Life Memorial service will be held at St. James Catholic Church located at 2070 Main St., Stratford CT on Thursday, October 12th, 2023, at 10:30 a.m.
