Lou B. DelSole, age 77, beloved husband of 45 years to Donna (Behmke) DelSole of Milford, died on October 19, 2022.
He was the son of the late Louis and Olivia (Sousa) DelSole and was born on April 26, 1945 in Bridgeport. Louie was an assembler for Dresser Industries for over 30 years before his retirement. In his younger years, He was an avid softball player always playing second base on many leagues in Stratford and Milford. When his son was growing up, Louie coached Milford Little League for many years. Later on he also became an umpire in the Stratford/Milford area in his spare time. He was an avid baseball card collector, enjoyed playing poker and bocce. He also liked spending time with his cat, Jeter.
In addition to his wife, Louie is survived by his son, Anthony DelSole and his wife Sheri of West Haven, his brother, Raymond DelSole and his wife, Carol of Ansonia, his sister-in-law, Patricia (Behmke) Liptak of Milford, 2 nephews, Alex Liptak and his wife Penny of Waxsaw, North Carolina and Nicholas DelSole of Ansonia and two great nieces, Alissa and Carleigh Liptak. Mr. DelSole was predeceased by his brother-in-law, William (Bill) Liptak, his nephew Geoffrey Liptak and his two nieces Paige and Erin Liptak. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to your favorite charity in Louie's memory.
A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, November 26, 2022 at 12:00 p.m. at Zion Evangelical Lutheran Church, 780 Grassy Hill Road, Orange.
