Margaret Louise (Sears) Salomone

Margaret Louise Salomone, age 87, of Milford, passed away peacefully on Wednesday July 13th, 2022, surrounded by her family.  Margaret was born in Bridgeport on November 19, 1934 to the late John and Gertrude MacDonagh Chonko.  She was a registered nurse and worked for many years as the supervisor of communicable diseases in Bridgeport, CT.  Margaret had a genuine love for all people and an adoration for animals, especially dogs.  Survivors include her children: Stefana Salomone of Milford, Margaret Edwards of North Carolina and Matthew Salomone and his wife Maggie of Orange, sister, Mary Ellen Mohring of Milford, eight grandchildren, Louise, Matthew Jr., Joseph, David, Morgan, Emily, Nina and Ryan and four great-grandchildren, Blake, Maverick, Cecelia and Fiona, daughter-in-law, Susan Salomone, son-in law, Richard Cunningham and several nieces and nephews.  Margaret is predeceased by her two sons, Daniel and Joseph Salomone, her granddaughter, Stefana Monhollen and son-in-law, John Edwards.

Friends and family are invited to call on Sunday, July 17th from 3:00 p.m. – 6:00 p.m. in THE GREGORY F. DOYLE FUNERAL HOME, 291 Bridgeport Avenue, Milford.  A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday, July 18th at 11:00 a.m. in Saint Gabriel Church (Saint Raphael Parish), Milford.  Interment will follow in Saint Michael Cemetery, Stratford.  In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Bridgeport Rescue Mission.
