Matthew DuHaime

Matthew DuHaime, 61, of Milford, died at home surrounded by his loving family on July 2, 2022, after a courageous 2.5 year battle with pancreatic cancer. He leaves behind his wife of 38 years and high school sweetheart, Cindy Ceneri DuHaime; daughters, Michelle Burke (Tom) and Lisa DuHaime (Walter); and two grandsons, Evan and Dylan Burke, with whom he shared an incredible bond.

Matt was born in Derby, CT on January 12, 1961, to John “Frenchy” and Carole DuHaime, as the fifth of 10 living children. Matt graduated from Platt Technical High School in 1979 as an auto body repair technician and remained in the auto industry for 43 years. A lifelong Milford resident, Matt was well known and respected in both his personal life and professional community; he loved fishing, the outdoors, and weekly dart nights in the Man Cave with his brothers and friends. He will be remembered by his infectious laugh, bright smile, calm demeanor, and unconditional willingness to go above and beyond for those he loved.

In addition to his immediate family, Matt is survived by 9 siblings, Marianne Santucci (Ed); Heidi Coddington (Brian); John “Frenchy” DuHaime Jr.; Danny DuHaime (Sherry); Michael DuHaime (Regina); Mark DuHaime (Leslie); Monique Root (Warren); Minette DuHaime Junkins (Dan); and Andrew “Debo” DuHaime (Shannon); parents in-law, Joyce White (Tom) and Mario Ceneri (Linda), siblings in-law, Debra Ceneri Bartha (Steve); Lisa Ceneri; Michael Ceneri (Barbara); Mark Ceneri (Keith Choate); 25 nieces and nephews, and 15 great nieces and nephews. He is predeceased by his parents, and brother James DuHaime.

Friends are invited to greet the family on Friday, July 8th 2022 from 4:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m. in THE GREGORY F. DOYLE FUNERAL HOME, 291 Bridgeport Avenue, Milford.  A Memorial Service will begin at 6:30 p.m. in the funeral home.
