Michael "Coop" Cooper

Michael “Coop” Cooper, age 51, of Milford, passed away unexpectedly on May 4, 2023.

He was born on March 21, 1972, in Milford and was the son of the late Henry and Sally (Orce) Cooper. Michael worked as a mechanic for 35 years at Tim’s Auto Center in West Haven. He was a family man and was always willing to lend a helping hand. Michael enjoyed camping and the beach while enjoying his Budweiser. He loved to putter on anything mechanical and tinkering with his cars.

Michael is survived by his two beloved children, Nicole Beatrice Cooper and Michael Anthony Cooper both of Naugatuck and their mother, Dawn (Barra) Cooper. He also leaves his loving sisters, Michele Cooper (Erik), Susan C. Busk and Mary Margaret Cooper and his mother-in-law, Beatrice Volpe, brother-in-law, Nicholas Barra (Tracy) and sister-in-law, Frances Baldino (Mike) and several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he is predeceased by his brother, George H. Cooper and his father-in-law, Leon Volpe.

Friends and family may call on Friday from 4:00 p.m. – 6:00 p.m. with a funeral service to follow at 6:00 p.m. in The Gregory F. Doyle Funeral Home, 291 Bridgeport Avenue, Milford. Committal will be private.
