Patricia Anne Chasney, age 81, of Milford, beloved wife of the late Kneeland Chasney, entered peaceful rest on January 15, 2022, at Bridgeport Hospital.
She was the daughter of the late Vincent and Verna (Santoro) Germinaro and was born on June 7, 1940, in Waterbury, CT. She lived most of her life in East Haven before moving to Milford to be closer to her daughter. Patricia started her career as a registered nurse at a high school in New Haven and went onto work at various nursing homes and later became a private duty nurse where she loved her wound care and psych patients the most. Each patient she cared for was treated like family and went above and beyond providing home cooked meals, groceries, and clothing for them. Patricia was known by many as “Pattie Rainbow” and before leaving would always say “Have a Rainbow Day.”
Pattie is survived by her devoted daughters, Heidi Verna Rice (Michael) of Milford and Doreen Anne Meyer (Tim) of Sarasota, FL and five grandchildren, Jake, who was the apple of her eye, Liam, Sean, Catie and Colleen. She also leaves her beloved boyfriend, Sherman Lee Rose of Milford, her step mother, Elizabeth “Betty” Germinaro, her sister, Maryanne DellaCamera and her nieces and nephews who thought she was so cool and called her Uncle Pat.
Family and friends may call on Thursday, January 20th, 2022, from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. at the GREGORY F. DOYLE FUNERAL HOME, 291 BRIDGEPORT AVENUE, MILFORD. A Funeral Service will be held on Friday at 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home. Interment to follow in Bare Plains Cemetery, North Branford.
