Patrick S Rooney

Patrick Sean Rooney, 58, of Milford passed away Sunday, June 25, 2023 at Bridgeport Hospital surrounded in the love of his family.  He was born May 26, 1965 in Bridgeport to the late Gerard and Ann Marie Rooney.

Patrick graduated college with a degree in electro-mechanical engineering. He worked for the Moore Tool Company for many years on complex projects for the National Labs. He also worked for Sikorsky Aircraft and Los Alamos National Lab.  Patrick loved playing his guitar and was a long time member of the coverband Knockout. He enjoyed taking rides on his Harley motorcycle with friends and trips to Block Island with his sons and Paula Provenzano.  Taking his son Jacob to his hockey games and practices was one of his joys and also taking his son Zachary fishing and working on projects around his home.  Patrick was very proud of his sons and they are heart-broken and will miss him immensely. 

Patrick leaves behind his sons: Zachary and Jacob Rooney; brothers: Anthony Rooney and wife, Diane and Gerald Rooney; the mother of his children and friend, Virginia Cabeleira, several nieces, a nephew and many long time friends he considered family.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, July 1, 2023 at 11:30am at St. Ann Church (St. Raphael Parish).  Visitation will be prior to Mass at the GREGORY F DOYLE FUNERAL HOME, 291 Bridgeport Avenue in Milford from 9:00am – 11:00am.  Interment will be private.
