Richard James Brennan, age 71, of Milford, beloved husband of Nancy (Rothwell) Gorban-Brennan, died on Monday, Nov. 15, 2021. Richard was born in Bridgeport on April 14, 1950 to the late Arthur and Ida (Gellatly) Brennan. Richard was a proud US Navy Vietnam veteran and served on the USS Sanctuary. He worked as a Laboratory Facilities Manager for many years and was a member of both the Milford Elks Lodge #1589 and New Haven Elks Lodge #25. He was also a proud member of the American Legion, East Shore Post #196 and enjoyed camping in Vermont, flyfishing and woodworking. He will be deeply missed by his large family, many friends and his dog, Maggie Mae.
In addition to his wife, survivors include his children, Corianne Brennan, Arthur Richard (Amanda) Brennan, Jennifer Jageler (David) and Aaron Gorban (Nicole), five grandchildren; Louis and Troy Brennan, Jared and Sarah Jageler and Lily Gorban, his brothers and sisters: Daniel Brennan, Loretta Boss (Kyle), Barbara Haberman (Howard), Susan Walkley (Tim), John Brennan (Deborah), Jim Brennan and Alice Cuevas (Tony) and several nieces and nephews. Richard is predeceased by his brother, Arthur R. "Corky" Brennan.
Friends are invited to greet the family on Friday, Nov. 19th from 10:30 to 11:00 a.m. at Saint Peter's Episcopal Church, 71 River Street, with a Mass of Requiem at 11:00 a.m. Interment with Military honors to follow in Kings Highway Cemetery, Milford.
