Rita Grannonio

Rita Grannonio, age 95, of Milford, entered peaceful rest on Nov. 5, 2021, at St. Vincent’s Medical Center. She was born on March 30, 1926 in Bridgeport and was the daughter of the late Antonio and Maria (Marsilia) Grannonio. She worked for Warner Packaging for many years before her retirement. Rita enjoyed crocheting blankets and needlepoint and giving them to her family. She loved snow, especially at Christmas time setting up her village. Rita’s passion was traveling when she was younger and Italy being her favorite place. She treasured her time spent with family and sharing stories of her life. She is survived by her two loving and devoted nephews, Anthony Ferrara (Donna) of Cheshire and Richard Ferrara of Milford with whom she resided and many cousins, nieces, and nephews. Her brothers and sister, Margaret Ferrara, Alphonso, Vincent, Enrico, and Frank Grannonio predeceased her.

A Funeral Service will be held on Thursday, November 11th at 11:00 a.m. at THE GREGORY F. DOYLE FUNERAL HOME, 291 BRIDGEPORT AVENUE, MILFORD. Interment will be private.
